JISC Techdis is the leading UK advisory service on technology and inclusion. It supports the education, training and skills sectors in achieving greater accessibility by stimulating innovation and providing expert advice and guidance on disability and technology.
The Service is actively working with a range of partners to remove barriers to learning and promotes a culture of inclusive practice through engagement with senior managers and specialist staff, encouraging the integration of accessibility strategies into policies and procedures.
JISC Techdis supports research programmes and the development of sustainable resources, materials and tools aimed at ensuring an accessible and inclusive experience for everyone, as well as practices and techniques that enhance external engagement.
The Service also promotes accessibility and inclusion through working with a number of JISC Techdis Associates, Accredited Trainers and in collaboration with a range of partners. It is one of eight complementary, advisory services co-ordinated by JISC Advance, created to provide inspiration and advice to support the innovative use of technology within the education, business and community sectors.
