RNIB

RNIB's educational services pre and post 14 work towards ensuring that blind and partially sighted children and young people in education have access to the same level of opportunities and range of qualifications as their sighted peers and that they achieve in line with their potential. We also seek to support an increase in the quality and availability of specialist teaching and support for professionals working with blind and partially sighted learners.

RNIB's national pre/post 14 team campaigns to ensure the interests of blind and partially sighted learners are taken into account and met by the full range of services available to all. This incorporates implementation of our lifelong learning strategy ‘Learning to include’ which we are currently updating.

RNIB run a residential further education college, a national physiotherapy support service and two secondary schools. We also offer educational provision in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. From six English regional centres, RNIB gives advice and guidance and offers training and consultancy services.
