The Sheiling is a Camphill School and College inspired by the work of Rudolph Steiner which is set in an idyllic rural surrounding close to the New Forest and beaches, working with students with severe learning disabilities, autism, medical and complex needs.
We offer community living which provides a secure basis for holistic development through full- time residential and day placements. These are accessed through our 16-19 Seniors Programme or 19-25 College Programme. We can offer local students part-time modular courses in the College. Students can join either programme in September, January and April/May.
Individual bespoke learning programmes are developed from a wide choice of courses in the crafts, Gardening and Conservation, Performing and Expressive Arts, Skills for life and Independence, and enrichment Activities.
The college has strong links to external agencies, work placements and other colleges. We provide onsite access to a wide range of therapies and medical support.
