General Description of College:
Beaumont College is situated on the outskirts of Lancaster and currently caters for residential and day students aged between 19 and 25, with a broad range of physical and learning impairments. A range of accommodation is available and all bedrooms have access to Wi-Fi or cable network.
The Curriculum:
Its aim is to empower learners to take responsibility for their own lives through personalised learning opportunities, with a strong emphasis on developing communication and independent living skills through the vehicles of creative arts and a personal development curriculum. Their individual learning programme will have integrated threads of learning that will enable them to practise skills and make progress.
Specialist Facilities:
Students can access a wide range of activities based in the local community which include amongst many, swimming, outdoor activities, health and fitness clubs, beauty therapy, trampolining and horse riding.
The college has expertise in supporting communication and the ICT department provides access through the use of specialist equipment and software.
