General Description of College:
AALPS stands for Adolescent to Adult Life Preparation Service and offers a specialist, fully integrated, whole-life support programme specifically designed to meet the comprehensive needs of young adults aged 16 -30 with autism and compatible learning or communication difficulties and is situated on the outskirts of Scunthorpe.
The Curriculum:
Our concept of whole-life support integrates care, education, life-skills and recreation into a personal programme that covers every aspect of life. Young people pursue their programme through a range of education, key skills and independent living, training, vocational and social skills.
Specialist Facilities:
A range of physical and psychological therapies is provided to meet individual needs. Each young person is supported by care staff at a ratio suitable to their overall need in order to enable them to acquire and practice the skills of daily living.
