The Governors seek to appoint a dedicated Head of College to ensure we provide the best possible education for every learner in our care. Following an organisational review, this is a new post which will work in partnership with, and report to, our Director of Education to develop and deliver an outstanding education for our growing number of students, who all have learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
This will be a challenging, rewarding and exciting role within a long established large Catholic charitable organisation. We already have excellent multi-disciplinary domiciliary care and health support services with modern, purpose built academic and residential accommodation. In response to growing and changing demand we are now expanding our College management team who, working together with our Director of Education and Head of School, will help continue our journey to achieve a seamless education service with the highest standards of teaching and curriculum delivery for young people at St Elizabeth’s.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Teacher/Lecturer who:
- is an excellent teaching practitioner and an effective leader committed to collaborative working
- shares our passion about seeing potential in young people and helping them to live their lives to the full
- brings a proven record of raising expectations and achievement
- is a practicing Catholic or committed Christian who can support and nurture our gospel ethos and values
For informal discussion or a visit to the College please contact Janet Pugh on 01279 844419 or Wendy Smith on 01279 844202 to make the necessary arrangements.
This is a full-time post (37.5 hours per week with 38 days annual leave including bank holidays). Teachers’ Pension scheme and a range of additional attractive Staff Benefits are offered. A Relocation Allowance is also available where applicable.
